This page explains how DND Name Generator handles limited technical data, contact messages, and browser storage. The current site does not load third-party advertising or analytics scripts.

Introduction

Welcome to DND Name Generator ("we," "our," or "us"), accessible at https://dndnamegenerator.cc.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we receive, how we use it, and what choices you have when using the site.

If the site's data practices materially change, we will update this page before rolling out the new behavior.

Information We Collect

Technical Data Needed to Deliver the Site

When your browser requests a page, standard technical data may be processed by the hosting or infrastructure layer that serves the site. That may include your IP address, browser type, device information, request time, and requested URL.

Information You Provide Directly

We may receive information you choose to send us, including:

  • Your email address if you contact us directly.
  • Your name and message if you submit the contact form or send email.
  • Any bug reports, support questions, feature requests, or legal inquiries you provide.

Information Stored in Your Browser

The application stores some information locally on your device to support the generator experience:

  • Consent state.
  • Saved favorites.
  • Current-session generation history.
  • Theme preference, if you allow preference storage.

This browser-stored data stays on your device unless you clear it or disable the relevant feature.

How We Use Your Information

We use information only for limited operational purposes, including:

  • Delivering the site and keeping the generator available.
  • Remembering requested in-browser features such as favorites and session history.
  • Applying your theme preference when you allow it.
  • Responding to support, business, and legal inquiries.
  • Protecting the site from abuse and meeting legal obligations.

We do not currently load third-party analytics tools or advertising scripts to profile visitors across the site.

Third-Party Services

We may rely on infrastructure providers to host and deliver the site. Those providers may process standard request data needed to serve pages securely and keep the service available.

If a direct form delivery endpoint is configured for the contact page in a future deployment, the configured provider will receive the information you submit through that form. If no live endpoint is configured, the contact page falls back to your own email client instead of silently sending data elsewhere.

External links from our site lead to third-party services that operate under their own privacy practices.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information.

We may share information only in limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: with vendors that help host, secure, or deliver the site or your message.
  • Legal Requirements: if disclosure is required by law, court order, or government request.
  • Business Transfers: if the site or its assets are transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale.
  • With Your Consent: if you explicitly ask us to share information for another purpose.

Data Retention

  • Contact emails and messages are retained only as long as needed to handle the inquiry.
  • Consent state is stored in your browser for up to 365 days unless you clear it sooner.
  • Saved favorites remain on your device until you remove them or clear browser storage.
  • Session history remains in sessionStorage until the browser session ends.
  • Theme preference remains on your device until you disable preference storage or clear it.

Children's Privacy

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will review the request promptly.

Your Privacy Rights

For Users in the European Union

If GDPR applies to you, you may have rights that include:

  • Access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Deletion of personal data when retention is no longer justified.
  • Restriction or objection to certain processing.
  • Data portability where applicable.

For California Residents

If CCPA or CPRA applies to you, you may have rights that include:

  • Knowing what categories of personal information we collect.
  • Requesting deletion of qualifying personal information.
  • Requesting correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Not being discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the current site setup.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we handle, but no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

Information stored in your own browser, such as favorites or theme settings, is controlled in part by your local device and browser security.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of the page.

If we later add advertising, analytics, or materially different data collection, we will update this policy before those changes go live.
